National Youth Event

This summer, youth from across the denomination will gather for four days at Purdue University for National Youth Event (NYE) 2012. This event takes place once every four years and is an opportunity for youth (and the adults who accompany them) to imagine what is possible in their lives, in their churches, and in the world. In fact, the theme this year is "Imagine".

Throughout NYE, youth will attend concerts, participate in workshops, listen to inspiring speakers and engage in service-learning projects. They will build relationships with youth from all around the country and, in some cases, re-connect with friends from General Synods, Regional Youth Events or the last National Youth Event.

The Wisconsin Conference usually has a group of 160-200 youth and adults attend NYE. For many it is a transformative experience that informs decisions about their future and their faith. Supporting and encouraging youth to attend NYE can make a positive difference in their lives.

Event Registration
Online registration is open. When registering, you will want to list 'Wisconsin Conference' as the name of the group you are attending NYE with. Please contact Lisa Hart (lhart@wcucc.org) with the names of youth and chaperones from your church who are registered for NYE. If you have youth who want to attend, but do not have a chaperone to attend with them, please talk to Lisa so that arrangements can be made, and so Lisa can help with the registration process. Lisa is also able to assist anyone who is having difficulty registering.

Bus Registration
Online registration for the Wisconsin Conference buses will open in February. The cost will be $70 per person. This cost includes a Wisconsin Conference NYE t-shirt.  Online registration now available!  Wisconsin Bus Registration
