Who We Are
The Northern Region ranges from La Crosse in the south to Madeline Island in the north, from the Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers in the west to Land o’ Lakes and Phelps in the east (and even one congregation in the UP of Michigan). Majestic bluffs, rolling farmland, deep woods, lakes and rivers, farms and cities define the landscape of this beautiful part of “God’s Country.”
About Pulpit Supply
These people have requested that the Division of Church and Ministry list their names as potential pulpit supply speakers. The Division provides this basic information as a service to our congregations. Please contact these people directly to learn more about their interests in preaching and their backgrounds. Pastors who are ordained may officiate at communion or baptism during your worship service.
The Wisconsin Conference UCC recommends the following honorariums for pulpit supply:
- $200 minimum + mileage at .76/mile for one service
- $75 for each additional service at the same church location
- additional $175 minimum + mileage at .76/mile for services at 2 separate locations (yoked or shared ministry)
Mileage should be reimbursed at the IRS rate. In order that misunderstandings not arise, these financial arrangements should be discussed by the parties involved prior to the specified service(s). The pastor or church officers should also consult with the supply pastor concerning preparation of bulletins, hymn selection and other arrangements.”
