There are five requirements for all authorized ministers in the Wisconsin Conference. They are:
- Annual Information Review Form to be completed annually
- Participation and completion of a Boundary Training course every three years.
- Participation and completion of an Anti-Racism Training course every three years.
- Continuing Education
- Regular participation in the covenantal life of the Conference and denomination
These requirements are based on the United Church of Christ Manual on Ministry Section 2.3 and have been approved by the Wisconsin Conference Committee on Ministry. For information on Exempt standing, scroll all the way down.
Exempt Standing
Exempt standing allows authorized ministers who have withdrawn from active ministry to maintain their ministerial standing. They still must complete the Annual Review Form each year, but are exempt from the other requirements detailed above. They may not be on pulpit supply lists or engaged in active ministry outside their home church.
